Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (optional for chocolate fudge)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Leave some overhang to make it easier to lift the fudge out later.
  2. Melt the butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
  3. Mix in peanut butter: Once the butter is melted, stir in the peanut butter until well combined and smooth.
  4. Add the dry ingredients: Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, cocoa powder (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  5. Pour into the pan: Transfer the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula. You can also use a piece of parchment paper to press it down firmly.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2-3 hours or until firm.
  7. Cut and serve: Once set, remove the fudge from the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang, and cut it into squares.
  8. Store: Keep leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Enjoy your homemade peanut butter fudge! You can also get creative by adding chocolate chips, nuts, or sea salt on top before chilling for added flavor and texture.
