Paula Deen’s Quick 5-Minute Fudge
Ingredients:
- 1 (12 oz) package of semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: nuts, marshmallows, or other mix-ins
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with foil or parchment paper for easy removal of the fudge. Leave some overhang for easier lifting.
- Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is melted and smooth.
- Add Vanilla: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If you’re adding nuts or other mix-ins, stir those in as well.
- Pour into the Pan: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Chill: Let the fudge cool at room temperature for a few minutes, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours, or until firm.
- Cut and Serve: Once the fudge is firm, lift it out of the pan using the overhang. Cut it into squares and enjoy!
Tips:
- Store any leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- This fudge recipe is versatile; you can add different types of chips (like white chocolate or peanut butter) or flavored extracts to customize it to your taste.
Enjoy your homemade fudge!
