Homemade Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  3. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine

  1. Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the skillet with the gravy.
  2. Simmer for a few minutes to let the flavors meld.

Serve

Serve the meatballs and gravy over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice. Enjoy your homemade dish!
