Homemade Meatballs
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
Gravy
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until golden brown.
- Gradually whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine
- Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the skillet with the gravy.
- Simmer for a few minutes to let the flavors meld.
Serve
Serve the meatballs and gravy over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice. Enjoy your homemade dish!
