Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Cheese Ball:
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (or goat cheese, if preferred)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- For the Coating:
- 1 cup chopped pecans (for rolling)
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
Instructions:
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled blue cheese (or goat cheese), chopped green onions, dried cranberries, chopped pecans, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. You can use a hand mixer for easier mixing, or just mix by hand until smooth.
- Form the Cheese Ball:
- Once the mixture is well combined, use your hands to form it into a ball shape. If the mixture is too sticky, you can refrigerate it for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
- Coat the Cheese Ball:
- On a large plate, combine the chopped pecans and dried cranberries for the coating.
- Roll the cheese ball in the mixture until it is evenly coated. Press the coating gently into the cheese ball to ensure it sticks.
- Chill:
- Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the cheese ball to firm up.
- Serve:
- Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving to let it soften slightly.
- Serve with an assortment of crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.
Enjoy!
This Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball is sure to be a hit at your next gathering! The combination of tart cranberries, crunchy pecans, and creamy cheeses creates a delightful flavor and texture. Enjoy!
