Shrimp and sausage with broccoli is a flavorful one-pan meal that combines protein-packed shrimp, smoky sausage, and fresh broccoli into a satisfying dish. INGREDIENTS FOR SHRIMP, SAUSAGE, AND BROCCOLI
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- Juice of ½ lemon
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHRIMP, SAUSAGE, AND BROCCOLI
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and sauté for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining oil or butter to the skillet, then add the shrimp. Season with paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Return the sausage and broccoli to the skillet. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, tossing everything together for 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the dish before serving.
Serve hot as a main dish on its own, or pair with rice, pasta, or quinoa for a heartier meal.
